Hi guys. It’s me, BUB.
I’m having a great time in LA with my dude and my pals. It’s been great to meet so many awesome people, and I am currently enjoying a relaxing day with my dude, drifting in and out of amazing naps.
Some of you may have seen my appearance on YouTube’s “The Big Live Comedy Show” last night. I know that some of you were worried about my comfort during the segment, and I appreciate your concern and wanted to talk about it with you.
This was the first time my dude and I agreed to try to let me do something on my own rather than in his arms. During the dress rehearsal earlier in the day, everything went really well and I was quite comfortable. What we didn’t realize was that during the show itself there would be a loud band playing, the lights would be much brighter (which is why my eyes were watering), people would be cheering so ecstatically, and that the microphones for the humans would be turned up so loud. Please understand that even though I wasn’t in my dude’s lap, he was sitting only 2 feet away to make sure I was OK. He told me afterwards that he too was nervous for me, but said I did a great job (I agree). In hindsight we realize that he really should have been holding me for the sketch.
So you should all know that despite being nervous for my solo debut, I am doing great and feel as amazing as ever. I came back to my room after the show and had an amazing dinner and the best nap on the planet. My dude and I have learned from this experience and decided that from now on we will only do things like this together.
I truly enjoy traveling and meeting people. In fact it encourages me to explore and move around which helps me build strength. I am happy to report that I am more mobile than I’ve been in months, and feeling better than ever. My vet and specialist both agree that traveling is perfectly OK. I am no ordinary cat! I really do feel comfortable in any situation so long as I am with my dude.
I also wanted to point out that all the folks involved with organizing the show (especially Matt and Gabi), all the people working the event, and of course my colleagues Andy, Blake and Jack, treated me like a queen, gave me all the fishes I wanted and more, and were wonderful to work with.
Thanks again to all of you for your concern, it’s wonderful to see how many of you care. OK, I have to go back to saving the planet.
All The Fishes,
